McDougall Core Group | March 22nd

Core Group meetings are a relaxed, relational first step in forming this new church community—for individuals, couples, and families of all ages. We gather every other Sunday afternoon to get to know one another, share food and stories, pray together, listen to God, and explore the vision—without pressure or heavy programming. It’s a space to stay rooted where you currently attend church while gently discerning how God may be inviting you to be involved here.

Food. If you are able, we'd love if every household could bring some fruit or snacks to share.

Parking. Parking in the McDougall lot will be free on Sundays during Core Group sessions until 6pm. If the lot is full, Chateau Lacombe is an extremely ideal option—it’s directly across the street to the south, offers $2 Sunday parking, has 650 spots in the parkade, and you can take the elevator up and walk straight across the street to McDougall.

Transit. Both LRT lines run close to the building, making transit an easy option for many people.

Doors & entry. We won’t be using the main doors, and doors will not remain open throughout the afternoon. Entry will be available from 1:45–2:05 pm at the south side entrance at the top of the wheelchair ramp. If you can, plan to arrive close to 1:45 as we'll try to start by 2. If you arrive after the doors are locked there will be a number posted to call for access.

Kids are very welcome. During Core Group, we’ll have a kids space with awesome, caring people and simple, relational activities. Families can choose what works best—kids can stay in the kids space, join you for part of the gathering, or stay with you throughout. Children of all ages matter deeply to us, and while our kids programming will grow over time, this early Core Group phase is intentionally simple and relational.

If your plans change, you can return to this same link at any time to cancel your RSVP, which really helps us plan well. If you need to make a change, the best option is to cancel and then submit a new registration. We’re grateful you’re taking this step and look forward to being together as this community takes shape.

Future Meetings. For the first few months, we’ll ask you to RSVP for every gathering, so please make sure to register each time. Registration for upcoming dates is already open at followingtogether.com/coregroup. Upcoming dates are: March 22; April 12 & 26; and May 10 & 24, with additional dates coming in June, July and August.
